I am so impressed with the Book Launch Planner. It's adorable and I really like the compact size. The old-fashioned typewriter on the front and the bold purple color are aesthetically pleasing. But the real gift is what's between the covers of this handy little planner. Mandi Lynn has broken the book launch process down to include steps that are easily overlooked, especially when you release multiple books each year. The timeline and calendar pages with space to keep track of both book launch tasks and related social media posts are extremely helpful. And the sample emails and sign-up forms included are a real plus for busy authors already overwhelmed with writing and the business of being an author. I can't wait to dive in and use this for my next book launch. I did a flip through and review of the planner on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/uqIEZqSdE_o.
A must have for self publishers
The only problem I see is the rings get stuck, so it's hard to lay the planner flat. Otherwise, I love it! The amount of detail is amazing.
It’s great to a one book guide for aspiring authors, such as myself, to turn to as we take our own steps towards publishing. I like the spiral binding as it allows for you to lie the book flat as you write in it and the solid, cover is correspondingly supportive. My only criticism, and it’s a small one, is that I wish the book were a trifle larger format. However, I recognize that would inevitably raise the price. I still fully appreciate the book I received in a very timely fashion.
I appreciate the content. Clearly, a published author has so much to share with a unpublished author. BUT the planner is too small. It is advertised at 5 x 7 and is closer to 4 x 6. This is a big deal because creation takes space literally and figuratively. I tore out the pages I found useful snd discorded the planner. The size frusttates me and I want to be inspired throughout my launch. I believe a 8 x 10 bound (not spiral) version would be GREAT.
